A lawyer's client call, filed into the firm's matter log
The filing deadline, the task, who owns it and when it is due: pulled from a 46-second call and cited. And one name the speech model got wrong.
The call
An advocate speaks to a client about a delayed flat: the consumer complaint must be filed before the 15th of October, a junior will draft a legal notice by Friday, and the client owes payment receipts. The firm's matter log has columns for each.
The entry
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Filing deadline | 15-10-2026 |
| Task | draft the legal notice to the builder |
| Assigned to | Arjun |
| Task due | 09-10-2026 (“by Friday”) |
| Documents needed | payment receipts and the builder buyer agreement |
| Open question | Did the builder ever send a revised possession date in writing? |
What it got wrong
The speech model heard “Sharma versus Horizon Builders” as “Charmobber's Horizon Builders”, and the matter name went in that way, cited to the line where it happened. The audio used a synthetic Windows voice and the smallest Whisper model, both of which make this more likely. We report it because it is the honest failure mode: a wrong value that can be checked in one click, rather than a plausible one with no trail.
The other half of the test
The same call was sent while a phone store's contract was active. The store contract asked whether the conversation was about its use case, answered no, and skipped it: no row in the store's sheet, nothing held for review.
