Asking questions across meetings, without a model writing the answer
“What do I still owe?” answered from three meetings in milliseconds, each line cited to its meeting and second. And how the free and paid builds stay apart.
The question
People do not want to search a transcript. They want to know what they still owe, what was decided about something, and what is still open, across every meeting. Vlocalhost answers that from facts it extracted earlier, each with a citation. A model never writes the answer, so it cannot invent one.
What the test showed
On three test meetings, “What do I still owe?” returned five commitments with the meeting and second for each. One of them, “We only had the 128.”, is not a commitment at all: the earlier extraction step filed a remark as a task. Because it is cited, it takes a second to dismiss, and it is the next thing we are improving.
Two builds, one codebase
The free app is open source; the paid features are not. The Ask screen used to say “Indexing needs Vlocalhost Pro” even inside the Pro build. The fix: the free app now asks a small registry whether anything can answer questions. The paid build registers an answerer; the free build registers nothing and keeps saying so. The free code never checks which product is installed.
